Instameets: The start of something wonderful…
It all began with the Instameets and the response to them has been fantastic. The journey so far to share, support and inspire each other has been unbelievable but we’re hungry to grow, flex and respond to the varied and evolving needs of our creative community.
We have many exciting things in the pipeline so watch this space! And if you have any feedback or things you’d like to see us offer, please let us know on firstname.lastname@example.org we love feedback!
Share. Support. Inspire
This is what we are about and this is what lies at the heart of each Instameet.
Instagram is a wonderful tool for creating a supportive community but it has its limits and there is no real substitute for coming together face to face.
Our Instameets give our creative collective the opportunity to get together in one space and share ideas, knowledge and experiences and to share in the experience and advice of our guest speakers.
Many creatives in our community are going it alone, sole makers, designers, business owners, often from a kitchen table or a workroom at home. Our first Instameet was born out of feeling how isolating that can be. That is why supporting each other is a key focus for The Enterprise Collective. The team are always on hand to connect people who might have mutual goals or could learn from each other. We’re delighted that a number of collaborations have already grown out of our Instameets. It is also such a pleasure to be able to support and showcase some stunning local venues, incredibly talented photographers, wonderful artisan food and drinks businesses and florists who provide their products for us all to enjoy.
We work hard to secure interesting, inspiring guests speakers who are original and at the top of their game. With a different guest speaker at each Instameet and a room full of creatively inspiring people, we want everyone to leave an Instameet feeling inspired and that little bit more confident and ready to tackle the next challenge ahead.
What to expect
(indicative timings only – please check event information for specific timings)
9:30am – 11:00 am – Social arrival
Our Instameets always start with an informal opportunity to chat to other attendees and soak up your surroundings over a coffee or tea and occasionally other drinks and nibbles (provided by local artisan businesses).
It’s a great opportunity for previous connections to catch-up and for new connections to be made. It also allows for a relaxed arrival time for all our attendees – we’re aware many people travel significant distances to be with us and may have commitments first thing in the morning.
11am – Guest Speaker
At around 11am we move together to a dedicated space to listen to either a talk or a Q&A session with our guest speaker. There is always an opportunity to ask questions of our guest speakers at the end of their talk.
We aim for a varied, fresh and interesting line-up of speakers across the year, all of whom have experience and insights relevant to running a creative business. In 2019, we featured bloggers, business coaches, photographers and Instagram experts. You can find a list of our past speakers here.
12pm – 1pm – Wrap-up
After our guest speaker talk there is a final opportunity to catch anyone you haven’t yet spoken to and grab one of our goodie bags which are packed full of business cards, promotions and the odd free gift, all contributed by fellow attendees. We wave you off to go get busy and creative!
Do you want to feel inspired and motivated in whatever creative field you are in?
